It’s very rare to stay home

How do you spend New Year holidays?
As for us, we just stay home doing nothing but watching TV.
To tell the truth, we usually spend days in a classroom or many different places with many nice people. 

That’s why we feel it’s the benefit to continue working.
Staying home in daytime is very rare.
Even on holidays, we go out to see movies. While we had our dog Kojiro, we stayed with him at home.
お正月はどんなふうに過ごされますか？
私たちはずっと家でテレビを見るかスマホで遊びながら過ごしています。
普段は教室かあちらこちらで素晴らしい人たちと会う仕事で人生得をした気分です。ということで昼間に家にいることは滅多にありません。休みの日は映画に出かけたりします。
愛犬のコジローがいたときはもう少し家にいましたが…

New Year Eve

It’s New Year Eve. As usual we enjoy watching a special New Year Eve singing TV program called Ko-Haku (red-white). This program has been broadcasted by radio since the time before TV broadcasting started.
For the post-war generation like me, it’s been a national year-end event.
But I feel a kind of generation gap because many of the singers are young and unfamiliar to me.
大晦日ですね。　年末恒例の紅白歌合戦を見ますね。この番組はテレビ放送が始まる前の時代からラジオで放送されたいた。私のような戦後世代にとっては国民的年末イベントです。

でもほとんどの出演歌手は知らない若い人ばかりでジェネレーションギャップを感じるのは確かです。
