王維 酬郭給事
洞門高閣靄余暉 桃李陰陰柳絮飛
禁裏疎鐘官舎晩 省中啼鳥吏人稀
晨揺玉佩趨金殿 夕奉天書拝琑闈
強欲従君無那老 将因臥病解朝衣
洞門高閣余暉(よき)靄(あい)たり
桃李陰陰として柳絮(りゅうじょ)飛ぶ
Gates and high halls lined up, the setting sun is hazy. The peach trees are overgrown, and the ryujo are flying wild.
禁裏の疎鐘官舎晩(く)れ
省中の啼鳥吏人稀なり
The sound of the bell that announces the time flows slowly. When the duties at the palace were over, birds chirped around, and people were rarely seen.
晨(あした)には玉佩を搖がして金殿に趨(おもむ)き 夕べには天書を奉じて琑闈(さい)を拝す
At dawn, I head to the palace, loosening the jewels around my waist. In the evening, I will compose and submit the emperor's orders, and worship at the small gate decorated with blue enamel.
強いて君に従わんと欲すれども老いを那(いか)んともする無し
将に臥病に因(よ)りて朝衣を解かんとす
I would like to continue working with you, but I don't think I can beat old age. I am thinking of quitting this job due to illness.
作者は郭さんの漢詩の返事として、役人生活からの引退を表明。
In response to Mr.Kaku's Chinese poem, the author announced his retirement from official life.
門や高殿が建ち並び、夕日はかすんでいる。桃の木は生い茂り、柳じょは乱舞している。
時を告げる鐘の音がゆっくりと流れ、宮殿での用事が終わると周囲には鳥がさえずり、人の姿はほとんど見られなくなった。
夜明けとともに、私は役人の礼服を着用し、腰には玉佩（ぎょくはい、礼服の付属具）を付けて宮殿に向かいます。夕方には皇帝の命令書を作成して提出し、青いエナメルで飾られた小さな門に向かって礼拝します。
これからも一緒に働きたいのですが、年齢には勝てそうにありません。病気のためこの仕事を辞めようかと考えています。
