NHKのBSで「六角精児の呑み鉄本線・日本旅」をよく観る。彼が飲むのを見ているとるとこちらも酒が飲みたくなる。困ったものだ。でも、こんなのんびりした酒蔵巡りのひとり旅もいいものだ。
昨今、「オーバーツーリズム」という語をよく聞くようになった。定義は以下のようなものである。

オーバーツーリズムとは、特定の観光地において、訪問客の著しい増加等が、地域住民の生活や自然環境、景観等に対して受忍限度を超える負の影響をもたらしたり、観光客の満足度を著しく低下させるような状況を言う。
世界の観光地で、観光客の増加による交通機関の混雑や交通渋滞、ゴミや騒音など生活環境の悪化が住民の反発を招いたり、自然環境保護のため人気の高いビーチが閉鎖されるなどの状況が発生している。
オーバーツーリズムであるかどうかは、観光客の増加を地域がどのように認識するかに左右され、観光客増加による社会課題が発生している地域でも、住民の大半が観光のメリットを認識し、一層の成長を望んでいるケースも少なくない。

Overtourism indicates a situation in which a significant increase in the number of visitors to a particular tourist spot has a negative impact on the lives of local residents, the natural environment and the landscape, etc., beyond the tolerable limit, or significantly reduces the satisfaction of tourists.
In tourist spots around the world, a deterioration of the living environment such as traffic congestion, garbage and noise due to the increase in tourists has caused a backlash from residents, and popular beaches have been closed to protect the natural environment.
Whether it is overtourism or not depends on how the area recognizes the increase in tourists, and even in areas where social issues have already occurred due to the increase in tourists, there are many cases where the majority of residents understand the benefits of tourism and want further growth.
こんな状況なので、私の第二の故郷である京都にもなかなか行きづらくなっている。
