早速、良いアイデアを生み出すための大事な考え方を3つ紹介する。
Let me introduce three important ways of thinking for generating good ideas.
①「新しいアイデアは、自分が既に知っているものの組み合わせで作られる」
"New ideas are made by combining things you already know."
有名な作曲家も、映画監督も初めから自分のアイデアでつくり始めることはほとんどない。
Famous composers and film directors rarely start creating with their own ideas from the beginning.
彼らは自分の知識を組み合わせて新しいものを作っている。
They combine their knowledge to create new things.
彼らは新しい組み合わせ方を探しているのである。
They are looking for new ways to combine things.
②「会議をするよりも一人で考えた方が良いアイデアは生まれる」
"Better ideas come from thinking alone than in a meeting."
複数で会議をすると空いてない意見に同調しようとしてしまう。
When you have a meeting with multiple people, you tend to go along with the opinions that are not available.
その時点で、新しいアイデアが出る可能性は低くなる。
At that point, the chances of new ideas coming out are low.
何かを解決したい時はまずはとことん自分で考えよう。
When you want to solve something, first think it through yourself.
良いアイデアは集中できているときに生まれる。
Good ideas come when you are concentrating.
そして、1番アイデアが生まれやすい環境はカフェやオフィスだ。
And the best environment for generating ideas is a cafe or an office.
図書館のように、人がいるけど一つのことに集中できる環境が最適だ。
An environment where there are people but you can concentrate on one thing, like a library, is ideal.
③「別の分野のアイデアを借りてきて自分の分野に応用する」
"Borrow ideas from other fields and apply them to your own field."
何かを解決するときに、同じ分野のアイデアは大抵で尽くしている。
When solving something, most ideas from the same field have been exhausted.
だから、違う分野のアイデアを自分の分野に取り込もう。
So, try incorporating ideas from different fields into your own field.
その新しいアイデアの組み合わせが解決につながるかもしれない。
Perhaps this new combination of ideas will lead to a solution.
自分の中から新しいアイデアが出ない。
I can't come up with any new ideas.
今、アイデアをどれだけ上手に組み合わせるかを常に考えよう。
