But he's not always surrounded by people.
彼は誰とも群れない。
He doesn't hang out with anyone.
誰かと一緒に行動する事は少なく、いつも自分の時間を大事にしている。
He rarely hangs out with others and always values his own time.
一見、冷たいようにも見えるが、常に自分のやるべきことをやっているだけだという。
He may seem cold at first glance, but he says he's just doing what he has to do.
私が彼に『なぜ人と群れないのか』を尋ねると、無理に会話を合わせて一緒にいても、お互いに疲れるからだと言う。
When I asked him why he doesn't hang out with people, he said that if he tries to force himself to match the conversation with the other person, it's tiring for both of us.
だから本当に話が合う人としか話さないらしい。
That's why he only talks to people who really get along with him.
そして、毎日自分がやることが決まっているから、他人の視線は全く気にならないらしい。
And because he has a set task for each day, he doesn't seem to care about other people's gazes at all.
彼は自分のことをよく知っていて、考えにブレがない。
He knows himself well and doesn't waver in his thoughts.
そこが彼の1番の魅力かもしれない。
That may be his most attractive point.
目標達成したい人は、群れずに自分の時間を大切にすると良いと思う。
I think people who want to achieve their goals should not hang out with the crowd and value their own time.
日本人が群れずに生きることは、とても勇気がいることだ。
It takes a lot of courage for Japanese people to live without the crowd.
でも、やってみる価値はある。
But it's worth a try.
