エルヴィス・プレスリー主演。
主題曲「ブルー・ハワイ」はもともと1937年制作映画
「ワイキキの結婚」での挿入歌としてラルフ・レインガーが作曲、
レオ・レビンが作詩したものです。
ロケ地
ハイウエイからクアモオ・ロードに曲がる角に建つ、
伝説のホテル「ココ・パームス・ホテル」の跡地。
エルビス・プレスリー主演の映画「ブルー・ハワイ」の撮影地として有名になり、
カウアイ島の名がアメリカに知れ渡るきっかけになった。
以降、エルビス・プレスリーがカウアイを訪れた際の定宿になったとか。
