Tokyo Trip: Tokyo Dome
Yesterday, I met an acquaintance [知り合い] in Tokyo.
I've been to Tokyo many times, but this was the first time I went to Tokyo Dome. We didn't have tickets to see a baseball game, but we looked at Tokyo Dome City. There were many fans from Osaka! I bought some souvenirs
Guess who I saw at Tokyo Dome City! [Guess ~ = ~
Comedian team オードリー was at Tokyo Dome City! They rode the rollercoaster [ジェットコースター] at Tokyo Dome City.
Have you ever ridden the Tokyo Dome rollercoaster?
I didn't ride it. It seems too scary! I only watched.

Dog days of summer
Rainy season [梅雨] has ended early!
Is that a good thing? Maybe not.
Now, we are in the "dog days of summer." The dog days of summer are the hottest days of summer.
Maybe late July [7月] to early September [9月] are the dog days of summer in America. Is Japan the same?
The "dog days of summer" is an expression. It really has nothing to do with dogs! Even so, here's my ugly dog drawing!
Isn't he a sad, ugly dog? He's so hot, because it's the dog days of summer!
I hope it becomes cooler soon.... But I must wait for the dog days to end....

Homophones! (Peanuts)
Sorry! I've been a little sick. Here's a short entry for today. (‐^▽^‐)
Even English speakers have difficulty using homophones. Let's look!

Sally: <writing> Please send me your picture. [<
Sally: <writing> You are my favorite TV actor. [
Sally: <writing> I think you are grate. [
Charlie: <speaking> Are you writing to an actor or a fireplace? [<
How is the translation? It's a little difficult for me?
Sally wants to write, "I think you are great."
"Great" and "grate" are homophones. Their pronunciation is the same, but their meanings are different. [
Words like "meet / meat" or "red / read" are homophones. Want more examples? Here's a strange video about homophones. [ 。。]
