My hero was my father.
それは父です
I was born when my father was 21 years old. My father had exceptional athletic abilities, and everyone recognized his talent.
たたは父が21歳の時に生まれました
父は自他ともに認める運動神経の良さでした
At the school I attended, Sports Day was a community competition.
学校の運動会の日
It wasn't just the students who participated; parents also took part, making it a major event for the entire community.
たたの学校では地域対抗で保護者も参加するイベントでした
The final event of the day was the relay race, and of course, my father was the anchor.
最終競技のメインイベント、リレーでのアンカーは父でした
He received the baton in last place but quickly overtook every runner ahead of him, moving from last to first in no time.
父は最後尾でバトンを受け取るとぶっちぎりで全員を抜き去りました
His speed was truly exceptional, and I vividly remember how astonished everyone was.
驚異のスピードでした 会場の誰しもが驚愕していました。
From the cheering section, I felt incredibly proud as I heard the enthusiastic applause.
応援席からの応援と父の走りを見て、誇らしい気持ちになりました
Considering that the other fathers were at least in their early 30s, with some even in their 40s, having my father in his 20s might have seemed a bit unfair.
でも、そりゃそうだよね、他のお父さんは若くても30歳台前半、アラフォーまでいる中、一人だけ20歳台なんだもんズルいかもね
