二つ目は、すこし前回の表彰から時間がたってしまいましたが、新規開発局エンジニアのイベント「アプリコンテスト」の紹介です。
「研究課題レポート」と双璧をなす、このコンテストですが、実際、課題レポート提出も、本コンテストにエントリーすれば、免除されるというルールになっており、
その回ごとに動作端末やジャンルの制限があることもありますが、ゲームや実用的なアプリケーションを作りたいというエンジニアには、一般にこちらのコンテストの方が人気があります。
コンテストを取り仕切るのは、実はわたしよりもずっと入社歴が長いT.M氏。「妖精」というあだ名と、憎めない外見をもつ彼ですが、週末は必ずジムに通っているとか...。
筋肉隆々の妖精ってのも、まったく想像したくないんですが、次回からはとうとう藤田社長も参加するという噂のある本コンテスト、フェアリーズマジックでより盛り上げていって欲しいものです。

The following blog article is about the software application contest for the engineers of our department. I'm sorry for the (obsolete/old/outdated) news because the awarding ceremony was held two months ago.
Both this software contest and the high-tech IT report are the two greatest contests in our department. You can avoid making the high-tech report if you make the software for this contest. The contest sometimes ask you to make software for a specific device such as an Android cell phone application, or to make something in a specific genre, like action games. However, the engineers who want to make real utility software or game like to choose this contest rather than high-tech IT report.
The chairman of this contest is T.M. He has a longer career in this department than me. The funny thing is, he has a nickname, 'Fairy,' even though he goes to the gym every weekend. I don't think you can imagine such a muscle fairy, can you ?
Anyway, I heard President Fujita will join this contest as a judge, so I hope T.M. will induce the entrants in the contest to use fairy magic !
