Last weekend we had dinner with the US prime beef by Costco.

最近ハマりまくってます。
I’ve really been into this teppanyaki plate these days.
一度は捨てようかと思っていた鉄板プレート
Once I was going to throw it away.
二人でも、十分楽しめるし、
何しろ準備が楽だし
これ、捨てなくて、ホント良かった。
But I’m glad I didn’t.
It’s actually very handy.
It’s also good for two of us, easy for me to prepare dinner.
This time I bought shoulder chuck.
今回は、肩ロース
と、田崎真也さん推薦のソーセージ
And the very fine looking sausages recommend by the famous sommelier, Tazaki Shinya.
ミスジもあったけど
肩の方が赤身であっさりして、いいよね．
We now prefer shoulder chuck, to Misuji, or muscle.
We prefer leaner meat as we age.
最近歳だから、
重たいミスジは、ちときついのよね．

Costco prime beef is always delicious, so tender and juicy.
ところで、今回
Here is the sauce I tried this time.
Yakiniku no tare by gyomu super.
業務スーパーの
激安焼き肉のたれ
1リットル入り ¥198
なんというバカ安❗️❗️
It’s really cheap.
Just ¥ 198 for one little.
Isn’t that incredible?
で、味は？
というと、 普通に、うまい。
いや、むしろ かなり美味しい。
What about the taste, then?
Not bad.
It’s actually fairly good.
いろんなメーカーから いろんなたれ、出てるよね？
甘口 辛口、熟成風味、などなど
でも、どれもぴったり、こない、
と不満があったのよね…
When you go to a store there are such a variety of yakiniku sauces, say sweet, spicy, matured and so on, that you may be confused which one to choose from.
Honestly however, I can’t find the right one that best suits my taste.
And the thing is they all tend to be rather thin.
一番気になってるのが
そういうメーカーのタレは、
薄い
さらさらで、肉や野菜に絡まない。
It’s so thin and runny that it won’t go with foods.
でもね、この業務スーパーのやつ
とろみがあって よく絡むの❗️
味も、バランスがちょうど良い。
But this sauce by gyomu super is very thick and goes well with foods.
And its taste has a very good balance in flavors, too.
This IS good!
これ、全然ありじゃん❗️
1リットル、というのがちょっとねー、
と思うでしょ？
You might think the size too big?
But yakiniku sauce is not just for yakiniku.
It can be used for many other cookings, too.
でも、
焼き肉のたれって、
結構調味料として 意外と使えるんですよね。
It was really a good buy.
これは、いいもん 見つけたわ。
しかし、窓全開で晩ご飯
ちょっと寒かったです。
By the way I felt a little chilly with all the windows open so as to let the smoke out of the room then.
There was no choice.
Otherwise the fire alarm would go on just like the other day.
あ、うち、煙対策で窓全開でやるんです。
一度、火災報知器が鳴ってえらいことになったので。
We will soon have to give up having teppanyaki dinner before it gets too cold.
