一昨日付当blog記事 (こちら♪) に続き、英フォーク・ロック名ギタリスト/SSW「Richard Thompson (以下「RT」)」自主レーベル直通販のみCDカタログ群数種を「Y」さんに有り難く寄贈頂いたなかから、’98年1月英国でのアコースティック・ツアー音源を収録したライヴCD “Celtschmerz: Live UK ‘98” を〜♪
何れも此れも聴き応え十二分で楽しき. . .

本作ライヴCDのなか、米ポップ・バンド「The Left Banke」’67年ナンバー (こちら♪) を唯一カヴァー楽曲演奏♪
尚、同曲は「RT」とコンビ解消後「Linda Thompson」’85年ソロ初作 “One Clear Moment” 制作時録音され、’03年初CD化の際ボーナス・トラックの1曲として収録 (こちら♪). . . ひょっとしたら、夫婦デュオ時代にも演奏していたナンバーだったのかな？！

「Richard & Linda Thompson」時代から「RT」ソロ・アルバム群に名ダブル・ベース奏者「Danny Thompson」との前年 (‘97) 作 “Industry” などよりセレクトされた「RT」’98年時点での歴代楽曲を中心とした演目を、アコースティック・ギターとヴォーカルのみ「RT」ソロ・セットに、終盤「Richard & Linda」実息SSW「Teddy Thompson (vo/g)」を迎えた “父息” デュオ共演も楽しめる一枚♪
「RT」1人で3人ギタリストが居るんちゃう？！、って思う程 “魔法” のような絶品アコースティック・ギター・ワークに力強いヴォーカルが冴えまくるのはいつも通りっすね！
また「RT」ヴォーカルと「Teddy」による実母「Linda Thompson」譲りの優しげである意味 “中性的” な質感のヴォーカルが重なる「Richard & Linda」時代ナンバーは何とも感動を覚えるモノが. . .
この場に居たかったよなぁ〜！
