近しい親戚の人が老人ホームに入居することになりました。
90歳で認知症も発症している状態です（まだ通知は来ていませんが、要介護３くらいです）。
お子さんがこれまで介護していたのですが、認知症が進み素人では介護が無理になりました。
そのうち、ご本人もホーム入居を希望していることを語るようになりました。
実は私もときどきその方の介護をお手伝いしていました。
そこで昨日夜、老人ホーム探しのアドバイスを受けるために、横浜市の専門のセンターを訪れました。

老人ホーム探しは専門家のアドバイスを受けることがお勧めです。
予算、介護度、空き状況に応じて、選べる老人ホームも異なってきます。これらは専門家でないと詳しいは状況はわかりません。
インターネットの情報だけでは、最終的にかかる料金はわからず、ましてや最新の空き状況も把握できません。
相談員の方に被介護者の状況をお話しすると、非常に親身に聞いて下さり、３つの有料老人ホームを勧めてくれました。
そのうち２つは、横浜市の有料老人ホームで、どちらも月額約40万円。
もうひとつは川崎市の住居型有料老人ホームで、月額約30万円（住居型は、家具も持参して入居するようです）。
有料老人ホームはこの通り高額ですが、機械を使用してお風呂に入れてくれたり、手作りおやつを出してくれたり、医療体制が完備していたりと、至れり尽くせりです。
ホテルのシェフが刺身や天ぷらの食事をつくってくれたり、パンフレットを見るとまるで高級ホテルです。
この３つの老人ホームを近いうちに見学し、そのうちの１つに決まると思います。
老人ホームでは、家族の面会頻度は意外に少なく、月１回、3カ月に1回のご家族もあるそうです。
介護の問題は他人事ではなく、いずれ自分もお世話になるので、今から情報を集めておきたいです。
この子も可愛がってもらいましたが、ペットは面会に行けない施設が多いので、残念です。
ところで、「老人ホームに入る（入居する）」は、move into a nursing home です。

When we talked to the expert about our caregiver's situation, he listened to our story very cordially and recommended three nursing homes.
Two of them are paid nursing homes in Yokohama City, both of which cost about 400,000 yen per month.
The other one is a residential type private paied nursing home in Kawasaki City, about 300,000 yen per month (for the residential type, it appears that the elderly moves into a nursing home with his/her own furniture).
The paid nursing home is expensive like this, but is equipped with machines to bathe the elderly, homemade sweets, and a fully-equipped medical system.
A hotel chef makes sashimi and tempura meals for the elderly, and the pamphlet shows that it looks like a luxury hotel.
We will visit these three nursing homes in a few days and I think we will decide to allow the elderly to move into one of them.
The frequency of family visiting at a nursing home is surprisingly low, once a month or once every three months for some families.
I would like to gather information from a younger age because the issue of nursing care is also my own problem.
