アメリカ国務省がこのほど発表した年次報告書
「2011年国際麻薬取締戦略報告」によると
フィリピンでは麻薬取り締まりの強化が一定の成果を挙げ
国内での麻薬製造所は、摘発を逃れやすい小規模製造所への移行が見られた。
その一方で、フィリピン人が麻薬の運び屋として
国際麻薬組織に雇われる傾向が強まり
昨年時点で海外諸国で逮捕されたフィリピン人は626人にのぼると警告している。
フィリピン モンテンルパのアルドリン・サン・ペドロ市長は
市役所で働く総職員数およそ2,000人を対象に行われたたドーピングテストで
違法薬物の使用が発覚した120人を解雇したと発表した。

日本の外務省の伴野豊外務副大臣が
25日、マヌエル・ロペス駐日大使と会談したと外務省が発表した。
ロペス大使は、震災に対する見舞いを述べると共に
フィリピン政府から、およそ10トンの救援物資が日本に到着すると伝えた。
外務副大臣は、アキノ大統領をはじめ
フィリピン国民に対して謝意を表明したという。
