92％のフィリピン人が希望を持って2013年を迎えると答えたという。
翌年への期待度は
過去最高の95％を記録した2002、2003、2011年に次ぐ数値だという。
過去最低値は、2004年の81％だった。

フィリピン政府は改善に向けＥＶ車の導入を計画しており
2017年までに３５０万台以上ある三輪タクシーのうち
１０万台をＥＶに移行する計画を進めている。
これに向けて「トリトンＥＶテクノロジー」（愛媛県今治市）は
フィリピンの三輪タクシー（トライシクル）市場向けに
電気三輪自動車を開発した。
トリトン社によると、開発した三輪ＥＶは７人乗りで、最高時速は５０キロ。
１回の充電で約５０キロ走行できるという。
