パーキングメーターの試験運用が始まった。
料金は最初の２時間が20ペソ、追加料金は１時間ごとに10ペソ。
この地区の交通渋滞の原因だとされる二重駐車は禁止されるという。
リム市長は、運用結果が良ければ、他の道路にも設置したいと話している。

山口県に住むのフィリピン人女性、ケイ春那さん（３３）が
演歌歌手としてデビューし、ＣＤを出した。
本名はイメルダ・マカパガル・ルーガイさん。
フィリピンの首都マニラに近いパンパンガ州で生まれた。
子どもの頃からホイットニー・ヒューストンさんの歌が好きで
のど自慢大会や、結婚式やパーティーに招かれて歌っていたという。
岩国市で行われた新人発掘カラオケ大会に出場してグランプリを獲得。
主催した「ジュピター歌謡学院」の桝田一利さん（６８）に認められ
演歌歌手デビューが決まった。

逮捕
フィリピンのマニラ首都圏郊外のカビテ州で
昨年１２月に新倉英雄さん（６１）が拳銃で撃たれて殺害された事件で
地元警察が殺人容疑で４０代の妻メリンダ容疑者ら
フィリピン人数人が逮捕された。
警察によると
メリンダ容疑者は新倉さんへの恨みがあったなどと供述し
容疑を認めている。実行犯とみられる男に金を支払い、殺害を依頼していたという。

銃乱射
フィリピンの首都マニラ郊外にある町カウィトのスラム街で
４日、ロナルド・バエが銃を乱射し
７歳の少女を含む少なくとも５人が死亡、１１人が負傷した。
警察当局者によると
男は自宅を出た後、近隣の住民らに向けて次々と発砲したという。
使用されたのは４５口径のピストル。
バエは、逮捕しようと駆けつけた警官によって
