Ramsey Lewisのアルバム。邦題は「太陽の女神」。
音楽やミュージシャンがどうこうよりも、まずジャケット。何だか凄そうです。
と、それだけで終わってしまっては仕方ないので・・。
全体的にポップでファンキーなフュージョンアルバムだと思います。1と5はEarth Wind and FireのMaurice Whiteがプロデュース、Earth組も参加とあってかなりEarth色が強いです。しかし、その2曲だけが浮いているかというとそういう事はなく、上手くつなぎとなる曲が間に入っているので、自然に聴く事ができます。
こんな書き方をするとその2曲がメインだと思われてしまいそうですが(ほとんどの人にとっては多分1が一番の聴きどころだと思いますが)、ファンキーでエスニックな4と6もなかなか面白いと思います。特に6のエグさはなかなか・・・。
全7曲で約36分半。長さも程よく、割と気軽に聴けると思います。
