Prog or not

Just spent a silly 15 minutes reading people discussing if XTC are PROG or not?
Some of Colin's songs maybe? WAKE UP, ELEMENTS, SMARTEST. But then some of mine too? GARDEN,MAYPOLE, NIHILON???
