The Enemy of the Best is, good

Good morning! ☀
Woke up at 5:40 AM today,
and time for a blog post! ✨
Better late than never, but I finally realized
why I used to catch a cold every October
during the seasonal transition.
My sympathetic nervous system was working overtime—
triggered by changes in barometric pressure and temperature swings.
I used to think it was just a regular cold,
so I’d hit the gym or eat ramen...
but no, no—that only stimulated the sympathetic nervous system even more! (lol)
So, I’ve decided to make a bold shift for October:
if I feel even the slightest bit off, I skip the gym.
And if my stomach feels even a little heavy,
I’ll stick to udon, daikon radish, and chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) for dinner.
Yesterday was pretty bad, actually—
I had a heavy head and cold sweats.
Today, I postponed my pillow maintenance (Jibun Makura)
and I’m keeping my shopping to the bare minimum.
Before making efforts to win,
make efforts not to lose.
"The enemy of the best is good."
The time has come to truly take this phrase to heart.
Let’s make today the most creative and thrilling day ever!
