action

The Enemy of the Best is, good

Good morning! ☀
Up at 5:00 AM today and just published a new blog post! ✨️
Management is all about execution,
but we must never become merchants without morals.
We must be driven by a sense of mission—
taking action to contribute to society first,
and generating profit as a result.
To sustain this, continuous learning is essential.
And to do that, we must understand the expertise of others
in order to truly understand our own.
All of this comes down to human endeavor.
Since people are ultimately most interested in themselves,
we must understand and channel that nature wisely
to motivate and move them forward.
This morning, I tried synthesizing the teachings of
Tadashi Yanai, Peter Drucker, and Dale Carnegie.
I'm finally starting to connect the dots—
turning them into a single, cohesive line
across the books I've been reading in parallel.
There is real value in reading the same book
over and over again—
and, of course, in reading widely, too.
It truly made me realize that
nothing in this world is ever wasted.
"The Enemy of the Best is, good."
The time has come to truly live by these words.
Let's make today another supremely creative
and exciting day!
