32bit版Chromiumの拡張機能が不調(LINEのフリーズ、Skypeのビデオ通話不可)の原因が何なのか？気になって調べてみました。
32bit版Chromiumの拡張機能でLINE、Skypeが不調

先ず、Skypeのビデオ通話ができない原因を特定すべく、端末からアプリを入れ、WEB Cameraの動作を確認。
$ sudo apt install cheese
Cheeseを起動すると、WEB Cameraは正常に動作しています。ハードやドライバーの不備は無さそうです。
次に、Debian Chromiumのバグを検索。結構な数のバグが残っていますね。

Found in versions 43.0.2357.65-1, 47.0.2526.80-1~deb8u1
このバグはVer.43で発見されたもの。でも、Ver.64では問題無く、Ver.66になってからの不具合なので、関係無いと思われます。

Found in version chromium-browser/58.0.3029.81-1
I have chromium-tt-rss-notifier and chromium-lwn4chrome installed and they stopped working with version 58.0.3029.81-1.
They are no longer listed in chrome://extensions. Both were working fine with version 57.0.2987.133-1.
I also have chromium-ublock-origin installed, which is still working correctly.
こちらも、無関係ですね。
32bit PCは処理が遅い影響でしょうか？でも、Chromium Ver.64で正常で、Ver.66に更新されてからの不調です。
64bit Chromeの拡張機能が、32bit Chromiumでは正常動作しないのは、64bitコードが処理できない為でしょうか？
謎は深まるばかりですが、拡張機能は動作保証されたChromeで使うのが正道ですね。
