I was surprised that six years had passed since we planned and held a big reunion for my 25th anniversary with JAL.

Although it has been much longer since I left JAL than the ten years I was with the company,

I am very grateful that the bonds we had back then still exist.

By "peers," I mean only the 20 members of my class who were in the newcomer training program, but we have fond memories of eating "rice from the same pot" with all of our colleagues who joined the company in the same year.

Now, they are all active in separate industries.

I am away from Japan, so I can't keep in touch with them all that often,

But with a single word from a friend on the board of directors of an incorporated association, we can all get together.

Some of my friends were battling illnesses, but we were able to meet anyway.

Let's get together again in good health.
