『Bienvenue ches les CH'TIS』
最近のフランス語の練習は、今まで勉強してきた文法をなるべく実践で使ってみましょう！ということで、フランス語のアニメや映画をどんどん観るようにしています。
昨夜観た映画は『Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis』 日本語にすると『北の国へようこそ』 というかんじの意味。
Ch'tis とはフランス北部に住む人のことを指すのだそうです。
プロバンスに住んでいる主人公は、家族と一緒にコート・ダジュールへの転勤を夢見て、いろいろ画策するのですが失敗。結局そんな小細工がたたって、みんながあまり行きたくないフランス北部への転勤が決定。
家族も彼と一緒に行くことを拒み、結局単身赴任。
フランス北部、暗～い、寒～いどんよりとしたイメージ。重い気持ちで着いた北部の町、なんと言葉が全然通じない。すごく方言が強いのです。
例えばles siens(彼らのもの）をles chiens(犬）と発音して、「家具は彼らのもの」
を「家具は犬のもの」と意味が全く通じず、大混乱になります。
ところが、はじめは憂鬱ななイメージの北部の町での２年間は、暖かい人たちに囲まれてとっても楽しい日々になります。
北部の人が、この主人公に言う「ここへ来る人は２度泣くんだ。最初は来たとき。２度目は帰るときだよ」
という言葉が最後にはホントになる。というお話。
この映画フランスで大ヒットで、近いうちにアメリカ版もできるらしいですよ。

ステレオタイプは必ずしも正しくないよ。ということですね！楽しい映画でした。

Are you prepared for H1N1?新型インフルエンザに注意しましょう！
Concern about the new flu, called a type H1N1, is spreading in Japan as global alert levels have been raised regarding a possible pandemic. Are you prepared? I was surprised to notice that most people, while still worrying about the infection, forget about taking even the smallest precautions.
-If infection is suspected, what precautions should be taken?
If you think you may have influenza of any kind you SHOULD avoid taking public transport and wear a mask to avoid spreading the infection. When patients cough, sneeze or speak, viruses in their saliva fly 2 or 3 meters and can reach people around you.
Other precautions include washing hands as well as wiping doorknobs and light switches with disinfectant.
-Can masks help prevent the spread of the flu?
"Saliva particles with the virus are about 3 micrometers in diameter. Some makes masks with filters that block 0.1-micrometer substances," he said.
"It's just a marketing tactic appealing to people with hay fever during a particular season, and (the masks) probably work for colds and flu as well," a spokesman said.
He added that a good mask fits the face so it completely blocks infected saliva.
But don't foreget to stay away from crowded places!

ちょっとした注意の積み重ねで、感染を防ぐことができるかもしれません。
・できるだけ人ごみをさける。
・こまめに手洗いをする。うがいをする。
・マスクをする。
・栄養をとる。
アメリカでは、ワクチンは子供を優先して打つと効果的である。発表がされました。子供から感染が広がることが多いからだそうです。
日本でのワクチンの優先順位、政治家からではなく、子供や高齢者、医療従事者、妊婦、病弱な人など、優先的に打たれるように配慮していただきたいものです。

ずっと前に読んだ小説を読み返してみたくなることってありませんか？
時間をおいて何度か読むと、前に感じなかったことを感じるようになっていたり、こういうことだったのか・・・別の見方で理解するようになったり、新しい発見があります。
映画でも同じですね。
それだけ自分が変化しているのを感じることができます。
最近、夏目漱石の本を２，３冊読み直しています。
はじめて読んだのは、中学生だったか・・・高校生だったか・・・
あの頃、まだ子供の私が何を理解し、感銘したのか全く忘れてしまったけれど、今回何冊か読んで思ったことがありました。
夏目漱石の小説には、”働かない人間”という人物がでてきます。
それもある程度裕福で、教養ある人物、人からも尊敬される。という存在で書かれているのだけれど、あの時代はそういう人物が、あまり罪悪感も持たず、本を読んだり、考え事をしたりして、暮らすことができたのか・・・と思ったら不思議に思いました。
親に生活費をもらったりするところはニートと似ていますが、まわりからある程度の尊敬を得ているし、本人は全く恥とは思っていないというところが大きな違いなのでしょうか。
夏目漱石の書いた登場人物も、おそらく一生そのように暮らすわけではなく、ある時期がくれば、なにかをやって生活をするのでしょうが、人生のある時期、人間は迷ったり立ち止まることがあるのではないかな。と思います。
でもそれが許されないのが現代なのかもしれません。
現代の日本。働くことに大きな価値観を置かれていると思います。忙しいと言う言葉は、ある意味ステイタスのように使われる気がすることがあります。休みでも、多くの人は忙しい思いをして出かけ、忙しく遊び、帰ってきて、次の日に仕事に行く。
時間の単位も細かくなっているのかもしれません。一時も無駄にできないという脅迫観念のような感覚？
細切れの時間に追われて生活していると、大きなを何かを見失うことがあるような気がします。
それは、ささやかな人の気持ちであったり、大きな人生の流れであったり、自分自身の内面であったりするかもしれません。
毎日の忙しさに追われていれば、必然と目の前しか見えなくなるし、人生がそれだけの積み重ねになってしまえば、人生の方向性が大きく狂っても気がつくことが難しいかもしれません。
今とは時間の流れも全然違う小説を読んでいて思ったこと、人生はこんなペースでいいのかもしれないな～と思ったことです。現にこんなペースで進んでいる国は世界中に身近に結構あります。
時間をおいて何度か読むと、前に感じなかったことを感じるようになっていたり、こういうことだったのか・・・別の見方で理解するようになったり、新しい発見があります。
映画でも同じですね。

Japanese politics has been in a chaotic state for the past few years, perplexing millions of voters. The country has seen four prime ministers in the past three years, and the latest Aso
could be forced out if the Democratic Party of Japan, the largest opposition force, grabs power in the Aug. 30 election.
A victory would terminate the almost-unbroken 54-year postwar rule of the LDP. Observers say against the backdrop of this political instability is the LDP's gradual decline following the end, in the 1990s, of Japan's extended postwar economic growth.
"In a time of political instability, they don't have anything they can rely on, except for popularity as shown in media polls,"said Masao Matsumoto, a Saitama University professor and leading expert on opinion poll methodology.
"The LDP is a conservative party, which usually advocates a small-government policy. But the LDP was a catch-all party and advocated a big government and welfare-oriented state. That's the reason why the party has had wide support among voters since its establishment in 1955," he said.
But the LDP-led government won support by using pork-barrel politics funded by tax revenues that continued to rise with Japan's rapid growth after the war, Shiratori said.
The LDP's formula for success, however, lost its validity during the economic decline of the '90s as the government started whittling down the budget, Shiratori said.
"Prime Minister Koizumi has abandoned the big-government policy, prompting voters to flock to the DPJ, which now says it puts top priority on people's lives and social safety nets. In that sense, Koizumi has destroyed the LDP and its support base," Shiratori said.
All we have to do is to watch and wait.
