普段更新をさぼっている為、段々旅ブログみたいになっちゃってます。
ヨーロッパに行ってきました☆
うちの両親と、私とテリーで家族旅行です。弟は残念ながらお留守番！(^▽^;)
まずはロンドン～～。
１日目は夕方着いて、ヒースローで両親と待ち合わせ。
飛行機で母の具合が悪くなってしまったので、この日はゆっくりホテルへ向かいました。

I've been so lazy with my blogging these days, it's becoming more like trip reports.
We just came back from Europe!
It was a family trip with my parents. My brother had to house sit. (^▽^;)
On the first day we met at Heathrow in the evening.
My mom had a pretty bad case of motion sickness, so we took it easy and rested at the hotel for the night.



一晩休んで回復した母！よかったよかった。。。
具合が悪くなった原因は水分不足にあるらしいです。
みんなも飛行機ではいっぱい水分をとりましょう！(;^_^A
元気を出して、小雨の中カムデンパッセージへ。

She recovered after a good night's sleep! Thank goodness...seriously!
I guess it was the combination of motion sickness and dehydration.
Everyone drink a lot of water on the plane! (;^_^A
With our energy restored, we headed to Camden Passage.



ごちゃごちゃ可愛い物がいっぱい。

Narrow streets filled with lots and lots of cute random thingies.




父がお土産にかわいい指輪とカフスを買えました。

Dad found a ring and cuffs for gifts.



しばらくエンジェル界隈をお散歩。
こんな古い建物がごろごろ出てきます。

We walked around Angel for a while.
Old buildings pop up everywhere.




２階建てバスに乗ってタワーブリッジを見に来ました。
どよ～～んとしている！

We took the double decker bus to Tower Bridge.
It so....gloomy!!



ロンドンって、天気が悪くても許せる数少ない街かもしれない。
こんな天気が似合う！


London might be one of a few places I don't mind visiting in bad weather.
It just matches this city.



タワーブリッジはなかなかかっこいい。

そのままテムズ川沿いをお散歩。寒いよ～～。だけどきれいだよ。

Walked along the Thames for a while. Cold!! but pretty.



しばらく歩いて、バトラーズワーフに到着！
元倉庫街だった雰囲気が残っていて、かわいいお店が色々並んでました。
「元倉庫街」みたいな街並なぜか好きなのだ。
デザインミュージアムも行ってみたかったけど、また次にとっておこう。

We ended up in Butlers Wharf.
It's like a warehouses turned into waterfront park.
I really wanted to go to the Design Museum, but we'll save it for the next time!



バトラーズワーフチョップハウスで早めのランチ。
軽く食べよう！と思っていたのに、ずっしり重い結果に。(^▽^;)
でも前菜はおいしかったです。

Had some early lunch at Butlers Wharf Chop House.
We intended to have a light lunch, but it turned out to be the heaviest meal of this trip!(^▽^;)
Appetizer was nice though.





この後は大英博物館へ行きました。
すでに疲れちゃって写真が全然ない！∑(－x－;)
父母が日本語ガイドさんのツアーに参加している間、私達は好き勝手にうろうろ。
エジプトと中南米エリアをひたすら徘徊。

After lunch we went to the British Museum.
I was pretty tired by then I don't have any pictures! ∑(－x－;)
My parents participated in a 2 hour Guided tour in Japanese.
We wondered around aimlessly between Egypt and Middle America.




夜は父お薦めの「ビリーエリオット」を観に行きました。
映画は好きでよく見てたけど、ミュージカルは初めて。
かわいらしい笑いがいっぱいつまってて、エルトンジョンの音楽は最高。
役者さん達のパワーを直に感じられるミュージカルは本当に楽しかった～。

At night we went to see the musical "Billy Elliot".
I like the movie and used to own a DVD (now misplaced...), but it was my first time to see the musical.
My dad saw it last time he was here and he really wanted to share it with us.
I liked the musical even more than the movie!
It was a lot of fun. Filled with energy and cute moments.
Music by Elton John was epic!



この日は疲れ果てて、ホテルへ帰って即就寝でありました。

After the musical we fell asleep right away! Woot.

夏のレイクタホ：4日目 #2 / Lake Tahoe in summer: Day 4 #2

タホ最後のディナーは、どこへ行くのか知らされていなかった。。。
ものすごく、ものすごく珍しい事に、サプライズ要素を持って来てくれたらしい。ヽ(;´ω｀)ノw
ちょっと時間があったので、湖の近くで一杯飲んでから行ったよ。
あーまだこの景色と時間とお別れしたくないぞ。

Last dinner in Tahoe, I had no idea where we were going...
Terry was actually making it a surprise. I was shocked.
He never plans surprise for me. Never! ヽ(;´ω｀)ノ Woo hoo!
We had some time left before our reservation, so stopped by a bar by the lake for a drink.
Ahhh I don't wanna go home yet.




この日行ったレストランは、エバンズ。
このディナーが今までタホで行った中で、一番美味しかったのです！
ワインを選んでもらいました。（‐＾▽＾‐）

And then we had the bestest most awesome dinner in Tahoe! At Evans.
It started with wine. （‐＾▽＾‐）



食べたのはサラダと、前菜のハマスと、鴨と、白身魚。
この前菜はハマスのパイなんだけど、破壊的においしかった！∑ヾ(￣0￣;ﾉ
一番のお気に入り。今食べたいよ～。
小さめだけど素敵なレストランで、シェフがテーブル回って挨拶していたよ。
彼はハワイ出身なんだって。

We had salad, hummus pie, duck, and white cod.
Hummus pie was destructively delicious. ∑ヾ(￣0￣;ﾉ
My favorite of the evening. I want it now!
The restaurant was adorable. The chef was greeting every table.
I hear he's from Hawaii.






このデザートも、アメリカで食べたケーキの中で一番美味しかったかもしれないという。
だって、アメリカで食べるケーキなのに甘さ控えめで絶妙なバランスなんだよ～～～。
これってとっても珍しいんだぞ。(^▽^;)

And this cake! This cake was one of the best I've had in U.S.
It's no secret that the sweets over here are just too damn SWEET.
But this cake had it figured out. It's a rare occasion and I'm not exaggerating. (^▽^;)



ごちそうさまして外に出たら暗くなって月が出てたよ。
なんだか食べるのに夢中でロマンチックじゃなかったけど、よい結婚記念日でした。
これからも１年ずつ、１日ずつ仲良くできるといいな。

By the time we left the restaurant it was dark outside. Moon peeked over us.
The evening was all about food and not that romantic, but I think our 1st anniversary was a success!
I hope we continue to conquer each day together.

夏のレイクタホ：4日目 #1 / Lake Tahoe in summer: Day 4 #1

レイクタホ最後の日は、私達の結婚記念日。
実は１年目の結婚記念旅行だった。
ということで（？）初めてのジップラインに行って来た！

On the last day in Lake Tahoe, was actually our 1st anniversary.
Yes, this was our anniversary trip.
So we went ziplining!



木の上に作られた足場は風でゆらゆら揺れる～～～。
木から木へと、滑りまくります！

You zip from a tree to a tree.
It was pretty windy and the trees were swinging crazy!





わーーー。
恐いかと思ってたのに何故か笑いが止まらなかった。

Woo hoooo.
I was pretty sure it'd be scary. but it was kinda funny.




テリーは本当は片手はロープを持ってなきゃダメなのに全開。∑ヾ(￣0￣;ﾉ
本人は大満足だったけど、やめてくれーーー。

You're supposed to keep one hand on your rope, but terry was all spread out.∑ヾ(￣0￣;ﾉ
He had a blast and I had a heart attack.






ジップラインおもしろかった！
交通手段だったら面白いのにな。絶対無理だけど。
うちからオフィスまでジップライン。
うちからビーチまでジップライン。

Zipline was fuuuun.
I fantasize it to be a public transportation system.
Zipline from home to work.
Zipline from home to the beach!



ジップラインより、恐かったのはこうゆう吊り橋みたいなのを渡る時。
これが一番恐かった！

This thing was way scarier than zipline itself! Eek.



この後は、この前ディナーを食べたブルーエンジェルカフェでお昼ご飯食べました。


We went to Blue Angel Cafe again for lunch.



スモークサーモンのサンドイッチが、とってもおいしかった～。

This smoke salmon sandwich was soooo good.
