■吉良邸正門跡 47 Ronin, Kira's Gate
戦国歴史マニア、変な外人のクリス・グレンです。
両国小学校の西側にある「吉良邸正門跡」です。
現在はビルが建っています。
この正門から討ち入りをした、大石内蔵助と赤穂浪士。
1702年12月14日、寅の刻。
7つの鐘を聞いた後、正門と裏門の二手に分かれて、大声をあげながら
百人以上の大勢で討ち入ったように装った。
これに動揺した吉良の家臣の多くが外に飛び出そうとしたが、弓の名手に
はばまれて、外に飛び出すことはできなかったと言われている。
と書かれています。
うーん、歴史的に大切な場所が、今はビル。
何も残っていない...というのは、ちょっと残念だなぁ。

その周りは、なんだかすごい人！看板を見てみると...
「忠臣蔵イベント」って書いてある！
マジ？そんなイベントがあるなんて知らなかった！と、大興奮（笑）
この日は、偶然にも毎年1回ひらかれる「元禄市」の日でした!!
吉良上野介と赤穂浪士達を供養する慰霊祭としてスタートしたそうです。
街の中を歩いていると、なんと大石殿を発見！
その近くには、吉良公も！
そして、奇跡の2ショット（笑）
こういう歴史イベントが、地元で大切にされているというのは、本当に嬉しい。
日本の文化や歴史は、こうして残っていくものだと思うから。

この日は、偶然にも毎年1回ひらかれる「元禄市」の日でした!!
吉良上野介と赤穂浪士達を供養する慰霊祭としてスタートしたそうです。
Being the closest Sunday to the December 14 date of the attack,
the streets were closed off around the area, and the locals
were holding an annual festival marking the occasion.

街の中を歩いていると、なんと大石殿を発見！

こういう歴史イベントが、地元で大切にされているというのは、本当に嬉しい。
