先週末、両国にある「吉良邸跡」に行こうと思ったら、
その周りは、なんだかすごい人！看板を見てみると...
「忠臣蔵イベント」って書いてある！
マジ？そんなイベントがあるなんて知らなかった！と、大興奮（笑）
この日は、偶然にも毎年1回ひらかれる「元禄市」の日でした!!
吉良上野介と赤穂浪士達を供養する慰霊祭としてスタートしたそうです。
街の中を歩いていると、なんと大石殿を発見！
その近くには、吉良公も！
そして、奇跡の2ショット（笑）
こういう歴史イベントが、地元で大切にされているというのは、本当に嬉しい。
日本の文化や歴史は、こうして残っていくものだと思うから。

I went to visit the site of the Kira mansion near Ryogoku,
where the 47 Ronin attacked one wintry night in 1703.

the streets were closed off around the area, and the locals
were holding an annual festival marking the occasion.

こういう歴史イベントが、地元で大切にされているというのは、本当に嬉しい。
