How are you?
How is your pollen allergy?
Somehow mine is severer than usual years.
PM2.5 may have something to do with this, I suspect.
Ever since my hectic months ended at the end of March,
I've been enjoying myself doing a lot of cherry blossom viewing.
But there's something I really have to do -The 3rd of April is the day
when a girl has to put the hina dolls back in the closet.
I was really tired of taking them out and packing them
back again year after year.
But what if I leave them in the closet for a few years, and
it makes their faces transform into scary ones, or....or
makes their hair grow longer....!?
I had no choice.
And then the housing was irreversibly shattered by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake,
and I had to devise a way to protect the dolls from my cat without the housing,
so it got even more tiresome.
After I moved into the apartment, I never thought about hina dolls
for a few years, until one spring when a friend of mine gave me
something like this↓
With the size about 2 cm in height, plus there are only two of them,
hina doll thing has never been a trouble to me with these
Although they don't really have a strong presence,
they do bring a feeling of the season, and at the same time
they make me feel that I'm respecting the traditional Japanese culture.
I'm very happy I have them.
So, thanks, Y, my friend!
