本日の超便利人生英語： 「仕方がなかったのです。」

あれほどまでに表から裏から見学し倒した
ルンバイオンモデル。
こんな値段のもありますよ、と教えてくれた
ルンバイオンモデル。
なのに、とうとう買うと決めてこのアタシが駆け付けた先は
ダイエーでなくジョーシン電機。
ちょっとあんまりだったかしら。
でも仕方なかったの。
だってイオンモデルには絶対に妥協できない致命的な欠点が！
それは、色の配置。
赤っぽい茶色と白っていう、センス的にもこのアタシには
残念な感じなんだけど、
そんなことより問題は、「白」の部分が外側ってこと。
周囲が白ってあんた、
一番モノにぶつかるとこを白くしとくってのはどういう了見なの？
汚れが目立つじゃない！？
このアタシには汚れやキズで汚くなった元白かったものなんて、
とても耐えられはしないわ。
だって、もう気づかれてると思うけど、このアタシは
キレイ好き。何か？
周りは絶対の絶対に黒っぽくなくちゃダメ。
ジョーシンで一番安いのが盤面が白で周囲が黒だったから、
ソイツにしといたわ。
それにやっぱりなんかあったとき、ダイエーより
電気屋を相手にする方が安心な気がするし、
まさかそんなことないとは思うけど、アイロボット社には
「は？イオン・・・？？ なんスかソレ聞いたこともないッスわ。」
って言われちゃいそうな気が。
いくらなんでもそれはないかしら。でもなんとなく！
ごめんなさい、ダイエー！
でもいつも食料品とか買ってあげてるじゃない。気を取り直しなさいよ。
それで、ジョーシン5年保証をつけて、お誕生月割引が適用されて、
44500円だったわ。
使い始めて数日目の感想は：
「期待してたより全然バカ。」
だけど、なんかカワイイの。
ルンバ持ってるヒトで、ルンバ「飼ってる」なんて言い出すのが
ちょくちょくあるみたいだけど、その気持ち、分からないでもない気がしたわ。
「バカなりに真面目に一生懸命」
といった姿勢で仕事しやがんの。
でも、別れがツラくなったら大変だから、仲良くしないように気をつけるつもり。
目とか合わさないように注意よ！
そして、1か月半後―。
このアタシの気持ちはこう変化したワ：
「このバカ、いい加減にしろ。」
一生懸命なのは分かるけど、安いモデルとはいえ
メーカー希望小売価格49500円もする機械にしては
なんか問題ありすぎな気がするの！！
もうちょっとなんとかなれ、このうすらバカ！
ところで「うすら」って不思議な言葉よねえ。
「ちょっと○○気味」って意味のハズなのに、
「バカ」
より
「うすらバカ」
の方が致命的にバカそう。
「寒い」
より
「うすら寒い」
の方がイヤ～な感じ。
どうしてなのかしら？
あら、そんなことはどうでも良かったワ。
とりあえず、コイツの問題点を・・・・

Yeah, I'm probably wrong. But somehow I feel uneasy!

But cheer up! I buy groceries at your place all the time!
So, with 5-year guarantee added and birthday-month discount applied,
I paid 44,500 yen.
A few days after I started using it I thought;
"It's so much stupider than expected."
But it was at least somehow cute.
I heard that some people who have this machine refer that
they "keep" a Roomba, instead of "have" a Roomba, which
I kind of understood.
However stupid, it does what it does earnestly and honestly
within its capacity.
That I think is the virtue people appreciate.
I don't want it to hurt my feeling when I have to dispose of it,
so I decided not to get too friendly with it.
I try not to make eye contact with it.
And now after one and a half month,
my feeling transformed to this:
"Do your frickin' job, dummy!"
I understand it's serious, and it is indeed a cheaper model,
but it's \49,500 on iRobot website.
That kind of money shouldn't be paid for this degree of stupidity!!
