余談だが、死んだ大叔母はユニクロのことを
「ユニグロ」
と呼んでいた。
有名な丹波の黒豆
「丹波グロ」
三重の名産
「那智グロ」
などと同様の法則をあてていたようだ。
そんなわけで大叔母の死後数年が経過した今も、
私ら親子はこの店を
ユニグロ
と呼んでいる。
ユニクロブランドが続く限り、彼女のこの無形遺産は
いつまでも色あせることなく現役のままなのだ。
人間、そのような名言を遺して死ねたらまんざらでもないではないか。

Workin' hard, falks?
Last weekend, leaving the stack of work behind, for the first time
in a very very very long time, I took a 2-day vacation.

There maybe something a bit wrong with her who chose this present
as well as me who really is enjoying this present!
But what is more unusual is that my mom, at the age of 82,
showed unusual affection toward this dog at the first sight,
and now we take him for shopping.....
Cat figurines "Behold, dog, this is UNIQLO; the famous poor people's resort!"
That reminds me:
My late grandaunt called this place
"UNIGULO,"
applying the same rule as in
"Tamba-gulo,"
the famous soybean from Tamba, and
"Nachi-gulo,"
the pebble produced in Mie Prefecture.
Even today, after several years she passed away,
we still call this shop
"UNIGULO."
This intangible heritage from her will continue to be active
