本日は仕事を振り切り、宝塚歌劇を見に行ったというわけだ。
筆者はヅカファンとかでは全然ないが、
あの煌びやかさと、タカラジェンヌの真摯な情熱と
女が男を演じる異常さが、なんとなく魅力で
ときどき見に行くのだ。
今回は、本日が宝塚デビューというイトコと共に観劇。
宝塚の本当の良さはたぶん全然分かっていない筆者だが、
全員モデル、みたいな、全員8頭身、て感じな女たちが
豪華な衣装を身にまとい、次々変化してゆく音楽に合わせて
突拍子もないところで歌ったり踊ったり、
という非日常が繰り広げられて行くのを目前に、
それなりに酔い痴れていた次第。
本日デビューのイトコは、というと
中休みの時間に客席から出て来て開口一番、
「衣装に金かかっとんな。」
と言ったのだった。
そして、ヤツの今日の感想はおおむねそんなもんであった。

"The costumes look pretty pricy, huh?"
And that's about all of her primary impression about the Opera.
