Every year at a little before 0:00 on Dec 31,
I go to the nearby temple to welcome new year.
This has been a family thing since I was born, but my father died,
and my mother has become too weak to continue.
So, this year, for the first time, it was only me.
I almost decided not to go, but then I got curious about
how lonely I might feel if I do this alone, and I went, and...
oh, my god, I was totally OK with it.
I made a prayer as usual, ate udon noodles,
warmed myself at the bonfire, and bought some kaiten-yakis.
-All like every year.
I am a bit worried about myself who doesn't feel lonely doing
something that looks this lonely, but I guess it's all right??

So, here goes the bonfire:
You have almost no time to enjoy its warmth before
it gets too hot.
Distant view of the temple at 4:00 a.m.. It doesn't sleep.
Helluva profit, right?
I went there again on the next day for shake'n'eat french fries with
mayonnaise-soy sauce powder. De-e-e-licious!

I went to my parents' garden to open the tap to prevent it from freezing,
but it was already frozen. I had to pour boiling water on it.
The outside tap has to be opened every night for the rest of the winter.
