昨日、録画しておいたハワイ関連の番組の最後に取り上げていて、思わずまた涙ぐみそうになってしまいました。
この歌の意味は諸説あるけれど、この「Aloha `oe＝愛するあなた」は消え行くハワイ王国のことだという説もあります。リリウオカラニ女王、どんなに強い心の持ち主だったのか。それとも、ハワイへの愛情が彼女を強くしたのか。
このテレサ･ブライトのバージョンって、本当にぐっと来ちゃいます。
