今日はお天気が良かったのでお昼から思い立って
夫とドライブに行ってきました 
I went driving with my husband this afternoon
since the weather was good.

愛媛県四国中央市 新宮あじさいの里
Our destination was hydrangea village in Ehime prefecture
.
山の斜面に手塩にかけて育てられた
約２万株のあじさいが楽しめる遊歩道
You can enjoy twenty thousand of hydrangeas taken care of by locals
walking along the trail on the mountainside.
ちょうど あじさい祭り が最終日
知らずに行ったけど、ギリギリ間に合った
It was the last day of the hydrangea festival.
We made it without knowing about it.
ところが、リフトいえモノレールを待っている間に
豪雨と雷が・・・ 
But it started pouring with thunder
while we were waiting for a monorail.
でも、不思議と気分が良くてスッキリした感じ
しばしお天気が落ち着くのを待ちながら
地元のおじさんとお話ししてたら・・・
ここ３日間、同じように夕立が続いたそうで
「この辺りでは、夕立が３日間続くと梅雨も終わり」
と言われているとのこと
According to the local staff,
"When they have a shower three days in a row,
the rainy season will be over."
And it was the tird day today.
じゃ、今日で梅雨明けだ～ 
So, the rainy season is over today!
そんな話をしているうちに、雨がやんでくれたので
出歩くこともできました。
After a while, the rain stopped and we strolled around a little.
この斜面一面のあじさいはオススメです 
This view of hydrangeas on the mountainside is a must see.
しかも晴れ間まで～
雨上がりのみずみずしさに、太陽の光が映える あじさいが美しい
Then we even saw the sunlight and beauty of flowers with rain drops on
いい１日でした～。
We had a nice day.
