ビジテーションバレー地区にあるギフトショップ＆コーヒー＆ティーショップ
Mission Blue
あまり馴染みのない地域ですが、オンラインの評判が良かったので行ってきました。
Leland Avenueに2019年にオープン。
カルトレインのBayshore駅から徒歩で15分程。
お店の名前にも含まれていますが、青色と蝶のサインがパッと目を惹きます。
お店の外に少しテーブルがありますが、中に入るとまず見えるのはギフトショップ。
ギフトショップは、50以上の地元のアーティストやメーカーさんからのものとのこと。
ローカルギフトを探すのにとても良い場所。
奥に小さなカウンターがあり、そこで飲み物とペイストリーを注文します。
コーヒーはSaint Frank
ラベンダーラテとモカ
蓋の上にラベンダーが
良い香りがします。
飲みやすくて美味しかったです。
アーモンドクロワッサン
ブルーベリーコーヒーケーキ
クルミバナナブレッド
アーモンドクロワッサンは、中にしっかりとペーストが入っていてずっしりしていました。
コーヒーケーキはブルーベリーの酸味がちょうど良く、甘すぎず、バナナブレッドもしっとりとしていて、美味しかったです。
スタッフさんとお客さんの様子をみていると、
ローカルコミュニティを大事にしていることが伝わってきました。

A gift shop and coffee and tea shop in Visitation Valley District;
Mission Blue
I wasn’t familiar with the area but we decided to check it out as it had great online reviews. Mission Blue opened in Leland Avenue in 2019.
It is about a 15min walk from the Bayshore Caltrain Station. As shown in a part of their name, the blue sign and butterfly logo caught my eyes. There was a little table in front of the shop but the first impression that you’ll get when you go inside would be a gift shop. You will see many local products. Apparently, they were made by 50 and more local artists and maker. It would be a good place to find a local gift for sure.
There was a little counter in the corner where you order your drinks and pastries. They use Saint Frank for their coffee. We got a lavender latte and mocha with oat milk. For the lavender latte, two pieces of real lavender were put on a top of a cup, which was pretty and it smelled good. It was easy to drink and I liked it. We also had some pastries such as the almond croissant, blueberry coffee cake and walnut banana bread, The almond croissant had a good amount of almond paste and was heavy. A little sourness from blueberry was a good accent for the coffee cake. The walnut banana bread was not too sweet and good.
As watching how their staff communicating with customers in the shop, I understood that they cared about their community.
