今週、友人からガスト半額クーポンの存在を知り、水曜日に茅場町のガストで2人でハイボール3杯飲んで、しっかりガッツリ食べて1人1300円という超コスパの良い食事をしました。
家族で行きたいと思っていましたが、家の近くにはガストはない。。。
しかし、日曜に急遽、「千葉県立房総のむら」に行きたいと妻が言い出し、聞けば家から40分ほどの所とのこと。それならば行く道中にどこかガストの一つぐらいあるでしょう、と思い、家を昼前に出発し、まずはガストを目指しました。
予め携帯でクーポン番号を調べておき、子供が食べるメニューがあるのも確認。さらにうちの長男は牛乳と卵のアレルギー持ち。しかし低アレルゲンカレーにも半額クーポンがあることを確認し、しめしめと思っていました。
嬉々として、私は山盛りポテトフライ（203円、マヨケチャ抜き）、唐揚げ（175円）、マルゲリータピザ（375円）を頼み、妻はミニタレカツ丼（225円）、次男はドリンクバー付きのキッズうどんプレート（275円）、一番下の子はラッキードリアミート(ドリンクバー付き（350円）を頼み、この時点で合計、1603円、ドリンクバーを大人2人と長男の3つ頼んでも(125円×3)、1978円。
あとは長男が低アレルゲンカレー、325円を頼んでくれれば、わずか2303円で家族5人がハッピーになれる超オトクなランチになるはずでした。
しかし、長男、「いやだ。。。僕これが良い」

。。。。普段、外食の度に、好きなものが食べれずに我慢させているので、承諾。。。3000円以下ならず。。。
その後、チョコバナナサンデー、200円も追加。それを見て長男も低アレルゲンプリン、50円を追加。まぁそれぐらい良いさ。
合計、3478円。
3000円以下はなりませんでしたが、十分に家族5人、お腹いっぱい食べてお得に食べれました。正直、ピザが大きいので、から揚げとポテトフライはいらなかった。。。378円引いて、チョコバナナサンデーの200円も我慢すれば、余裕で3000円切っていました（そしてカレーで長男が納得していたら、2000円以下か、、、すごい）。
というわけで、26日までみたいなので、ガストに皆さんいってみてください。車使わずに行ける人は、ハイボールとビールもお安いのでちょい飲みに最高です。
Last week, one of my friends informed me about a half-price coupon for Gusto, so we went to the Gusto restaurant in Kayaba-cho on Wednesday with two of us. We had three highballs each and enjoyed a hearty meal for just 1,300 yen per person, which was an amazing cost performance.
I wanted to go with my family, but unfortunately, there is no Gusto near our home. However, on Sunday, my wife suddenly suggested going to "Chiba Prefectural Boso no Mura," which is about a 40-minute drive from our house. I thought there might be a Gusto on the way, so we left home before noon and headed for the restaurant.
I had already checked the coupon number on my phone and confirmed that there were menu options for kids. Moreover, my eldest son has allergies to milk and eggs, but I found out that there was a half-price coupon for low allergen curry, so I was relieved.
With excitement, I ordered a large serving of potato fries (203 yen, no mayo ketchup), fried chicken (175 yen), and Margherita pizza (375 yen). My wife ordered a mini pork cutlet bowl (225 yen), my second son had a kids' udon plate with a drink bar (275 yen), and the youngest ordered a lucky draw meat dish with a drink bar (350 yen). At this point, the total came to 1,603 yen, and even if we added the drink bar for two adults and my eldest son (125 yen each), it would be 1,978 yen in total.
All we needed was for my eldest son to order the low allergen curry for 325 yen, and we would have had an incredibly economical lunch for our family of five, staying below 3,000 yen.
However, my eldest son said, "No... I want this one." He chose an eel rice bowl with miso soup and pickles for 1,250 yen...
Since he always has to compromise and cannot eat what he likes when we eat out, I reluctantly agreed... The total bill went up to 3,478 yen.
Later on, we also added a chocolate banana sundae for 200 yen. When my eldest son saw that, he also wanted to add a low allergen pudding for 50 yen. Well, I guess it's okay.
In the end, the total came to 3,478 yen.
We couldn't stay under 3,000 yen, but we all enjoyed a satisfying meal. To be honest, we didn't really need the karaage, and potato fries... those were just too much.
If we had skipped those and resisted ordering the chocolate banana sundae and pudding, we could have easily stayed below 3,000 yen (and if my eldest son had chosen the curry, it would have been even less, under 2000 yen... quite impressive).
So, I recommend that everyone try Gusto before the deal ends on the 26th. If you can get there without using a car, it's the perfect place for a casual drink with Highballs and beer, all at a very reasonable price.
