24日はクリスマス・イブというのに行き場を失った高齢英語学習者がコットンに集結した。
恒例の英語スピーチではヒロさんが最近まで滞在されていたマレーシアでの貴重なご経験を英語でスピーチされた。
事前によく準備されたスピーチ内容でほのぼのした内容であった。
マレーシア人の友人の13歳のお嬢さんがヒロさんご夫婦の為にユーチューブでレシピを調べ美味しい料理を沢山
作ってくれた様子をスマホの写真も見せながらご説明いただいた。
また、ブック・サンタのような慈善事業に寄付されたところ現地の恵まれない子供たちに本をプレゼントする
写真を事業者から見せてもらい感動したとの由。
ヒロさんのお人柄が窺える味のあるスピーチであった。
70歳という高齢にも拘らず真摯に英語学習に取り組まれる姿勢を見習いたい。
僕のスピーチは「カナダの友人Mr. Jason ①Guilty pleasure of Detroit」
園田先生からヒロさんは発音指導1ヶ所（climate）のみであったが、僕は発音指導2ヶ所。
カナディアンとデトロイト。
いずれもアクセントの位置で上記の太字の部分にアクセントをおくようご指導を受けた。

Today I'd like to start the new series of Canadian friend, Mr.Jason.
Today Part one ①Guilty pleasure of Detroit.
Mr.Jason is the name of a famous strip club in Canada.
But why could the strip club be a someone's friend?
How so?
Why is that?
The secret of Canadian friend Mr.Jason will be disclosed at the end of this series.
Can you imagine the punch line?
When I tell you the punch line,you will feel the Canadian's warm heart,tenderness and humor.
And then,the punch line will draw laughter.
In autum of 1988,we went to USA for 2 weeks on business.
The member were six men,three bank officers of Mitsui bank(Global business development division)
and three executives of M-company(the customer of Mitsui bank).
The Japanese Yen was getting stronger and stronger after the Plaza agreement in 1985.
Support for overseas expansion of our customers was one of the most important mission of Mitsui bank.
M-company is the automobile interior manufacturer.
They retained the Mitsui bank as the adviser of the investment to USA.
Firstly we stayed in Detoroit,Michigan for a week, Detriot was the industrial center of automobile in USA.
M-company had the representative office in Detroit.
Our bank had the representative office in Detroit as well.
During our staying in Detroit,some members went to the firing range everynight.
Mr.Masuda(my colleague) and I didn't like the things like that.
The manager of our Detroit office told us about the guilty pleasure of Detroit(Mr.Jason).
I could'nt enjoy the live shooting in Detroit.
But more than 10 years later,I had the chance to go to Guam on business.
I enjoyed the live shooting in Guam

12月は零下13℃の中国山東省青島にも出張した。
コンサル契約は来年3月で終了するのでこれが最後の現地出張になると思う。
19日には歓送会を開いていただき記念品も頂戴した。
今年もあと数時間、New year's resolutionを考え中。
