アラバマ物語＝「ものまね鳥を殺すには」
いつもの如く、敬愛するブロ友「あの時の映画日記～黄昏映画館」の「がちゃん」さんが心に残る名脇役俳優としてロバート・デュバルを挙げていらしたので、つい探偵も口出しをしたくなったわけです。彼の映画デビュー作は、あの名画中の名画『アラバマ物語』でした。演じたのは田舎町で"Boo"と呼ばれていた発達障害者。改めて調べてみると、ノン・クレジットだったようです。

古い映画だが2時間余りの中に家族愛、隣人愛と友情、社会の不条理、冒険とミステリーそして明日への希望が詰まっている。現代はこの映画よりももっと複雑なストーリーとスペクタクル映像で満ちていいるが長く心に残る映画は60年前に作り上げられていたのだと思う。
