Tokyo's Yasukuni shrine hit by another graffiti attack

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Graffiti was found early Monday on a stone pillar at the entrance of the war-linked Yasukuni shrine in Tokyo, following a similar incident in June, prompting police to launch an investigation.
The graffiti, likely made with a black felt-tip pen, mainly consisted of Chinese characters and some letters from the Latin alphabet, with words such as "toilet" written in Chinese, police said.
A shrine employee found the graffiti at around 3:50 a.m. and reported it to the police.
The graffiti was written on a stone pillar that bears the shrine's name, the same location that was found on June 1 to be defaced with the word "toilet" spray-painted in red.
