A 10-story condominium building in Tokyo's Kunitachi district that is almost ready to move into will now be demolished after locals complained it blocks views of Mount Fuji.
City officials said the developer Sekisui House Ltd. notified them June 4 that it had decided to discontinue the project because the company did not adequately consider the impact of the project on the surrounding area and landscape.
