最近の教育界はどうなっているのでしょうか．このところ，信じられないような犯罪が多すぎませんか．
一連の報道の中で，sexual groomingという言葉を目にするようになりました．
ちょっと前までは(sexual) groomingは，「変質者（pervert）による"ネット上の性的なかわいがり"」といった程度でしかとらえておらず，それも主に欧米での話と思っていましたが，どうも，日本でもリアル（physical）に接触し，中には事に及ぶ教師や大学教授まで出てくるとは...．
ペット業者にはおなじみの grooming に sexual が付いた sexual groomingは「セクシャル・グルーミング◆下心を隠して相手を信頼させ、いかがわしい行為をしようとすること」（アルク 英辞郎）というなんとなく，わかったようなわからないような訳がそえてあります．
Oxford Dictionariesには"(of a pedophile) prepare (a child) for a meeting, especially ia an internet chat room, with the intention of committing a sexual offence"とアルクのものよりはツッコンだ定義がありますが，これもどうなのかはうまくつかめません．
今回，ショックだったのは中学校の校長までがよりによってビデオにコレクションをしていたということ（あくまで容疑ですが）....
日頃から管理者とはおつきあいが多く，おしなべて真面目な方が多いと感じていましたので，今回は特殊な人と思いたいところです．
sexual groomingは欧米では研究対象になっているようで，専門書も出ているようです．今のところ，英日の学習辞書には採用されていないようですが，今後も研究は深化して行くのでしょうね．（UG）

Head of junior high school in Tokyo suspected of violating child pornography law
Tokyo police have arrested the principal of a public junior high school for allegedly possessing obscene images of an underage girl.
Kitamura Hisayoshi was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of violating a law banning child pornography. The 55-year-old heads a school in Tokyo's Nerima Ward. He allegedly possessed at his school office images of a girl under the age of 18.
The victim reportedly contacted the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's third-party consultation service last November. Police launched an investigation after it received word on the case through the local education board.
Kitamura has been quoted as saying that the images are those of a female student at a junior high school where he used to work.
