アメリカの記者のツイッターによると、彼は、ロサンゼルス、ボストンとニューヨークの３都市が好きらしい。
日本でいうと、横浜、京都と東京って感じでしょうか。
我がホワイトソックスは、マサオとロサンゼルスで会いました。それも、ゼネラルマネージャーと監督、そしてオーナーまで彼に会いに行ったのです。この度ホワイトソックス出身で殿堂入りしたフランク・トーマスのお祝いパーティーに行かずにです。ホワイトソックスは本気です。条件面でもヤンキースに負けないものが出せるでしょう。
でも、本拠地はロサンゼルス、ボストンやニューヨークではなく、シカゴにあります。
シカゴはどうなんでしょう？
日本でいうと大阪って感じでしょうか。
大阪の人は東京を意識しますが、東京の人にとって大阪は地方都市のひとつに過ぎないのです。同様にシカゴアン（シカゴの人）はニューヨークを意識しますが、ニューヨーカーはシカゴなんか眼中にない。
でも、でも、でも、シカゴアンは、ニューヨーカーやロサンゼルスの人に比べてフレンドリーです。シカゴアンは、英語もニューヨーカーやロサンゼルスの人に比べてアクセントがきつい人は少なく、きれいな英語を話します。
シカゴのピザは美味しいですよ。ダブルデッカー（二重）ピザは、最高です。
マサオがホワイトソックスまたは同じくシカゴのカブスに入ってくれるとうれしいのですが、どうなるでしょう？
どの都市でも、住めば都です。だから、シカゴに来て！マサオ！
Which team will sign the Japanese baseball pitcher, Masahiro Tanaka?
According to an American sports writer, Tanaka likes 3 cities, LA, NY and Boston.
Those 3 cities are like Yokohama, Tokyo and Kyoto in Japan?
The White Sox including the owner, the GM and the manager met with Tanaka in LA. I believe the White Sox can offer a deal as good as the Yankees, if not better.
But the White Sox is not in LA, NY nor Boston. It is based in Chicago.
What about Chicago?
It like Osaka in Japan?
The people in Osaka feel rivalry toward Tokyo, but the Tokyo people consider Osaka as one of local cities. Chicagoans may see NY as a rival city, but New Yorkers don't give a dumb about Chicago.
But, but, but Chicagoans are more friendly than New Yorkers, and speak better English. And pizzas are better in Chicago!
I hope Tanaka will sign with the White Sox or maybe the Cubs.
