ゼロサムゲームをやるな、という道徳。あるいは囚人のジレンマ・ナッシュ均衡において全体の効用を高めるために構成員に損害を与える事を戒める格言。
政治の不作為によるダメージから利得を引き出すと、政治からのしっぺ返しを受ける。
FXの利益確定は、そのままにしておけば得られたさらなる利益を放棄する事でもあり、それは自己の損失であるが、他人の利得にもなり得る。大口の投資家が個人投資家のポジションを焼き尽くして利益を上げる事に対する否定的な感情を表すロジックとして解釈する事もできる。
