ドキュメンタリー（前半） Yuzu's comments ENG translation

まだ、酸素が足りず思考能力停止状態だけど

「いや、サラの場合は思考能力もともとないし！」

そうだっけ？あっそうかも、、、

TVasahi’s RE_PRAY Documentary was really wonderful programme,

it showed most parts of the show as well as the “documentary” of

how Yuzu created the show together with MIKIKO-sensei and other staff members.

それにしてもドキュメンタリー、最高だったよね。

見てよ、タイトルの上にもそしてサブタイトルの下にも、←と→が入っていて

細かいところまでTV朝日さんこだわっているよね。

Look, there’s the arrow marks above the title as well as below the sub-title.

It seems showing TVasahi’s respect to Yuzu’s RE_PRAY.

なんかやんちゃさんたちが集まって、秘密基地計画を練っているようでめっちゃ素敵！
ってか、、、かわいい！かわいいけど話していることは凄いことなんだよね、きっと。
And oh, looks so cute, like a little boy, but
what they are talking must be something amazing.

三毒さまはMIKIKO先生の振付に

結弦君がスケートを入れた合作って呼んでいいのかな？

それにしても初の鏡の前での振付練習、結弦君の眼が、、、

さっきの僕ちゃんのお目々とは全く違う！

And it told that “Gate of Living” was choreographed by MIKIKO-sensei,

however, skating parts were created by Yuzu,

so can it be call as a collaboration?

Yuzu practiced the choreography in front of the mirror, and

it was his first time.

Now, his eyes are firing.

正直陸上でやった時の方が、最初上手いなって思っていて、僕は。
最初陸上で先生に振付をしてもらって、で、まぁ鏡の前で何回も、何回も練習をしていく中で、その質感が氷上で全く出せなかったんです。

Actually, at the first when I practiced on the floor, I thought it was the best.
First, MIKIKO-sensei choreographed, and in front of the mirror I practiced over and over again, but I wasn’t ablet to create the mood of choreography on the ice.

すっごい難しくて、どうしよう、、、って思ってもうすごい練習しました。

It was terribly difficult, and I wondered how to deal with it, so I practiced furiously.

そのぉ、、、真っすぐっていうのがテーマとして１番、なんか根底にあって。

Well, “straightness” is the number-one theme, it’s kind of at a foundation of it.

フィギュアスケーター的には、もうその真っすぐだけで表現するっていること自体がまず異質なんですけど、スケートだからこそ出せるものと、僕が今まで演じたことないようなその振付だったりとか、まぁ映像と照明と含めたその演出があってこそ見えてくる、その真っすぐな世界観、みたいなものをなんか表現したいなっていうのが「鶏蛇」のなんか１番根底にあるテーマですね、はい。
However, as a figure skater, it’s a foreign thing to express with only straight lines, but I wanted to express something which I can only do with skating, choreography I have never performed before and the effect including videos and lightings, all those are the most fundamental theme of “Gate of Living”.

で、MIKIKO先生、結弦君はめちゃんこ

覚えが早いって褒めていたよね～～

結弦君、初めてダンス指導を受けたわけだね。

それにしても、フィギュアスケートで直線って

MIKIKO先生も鬼だねぇ～～！

そしてできませんとは言わず

やってしまう鬼天使ちゃん。

Yuzu's quick-learning.

However, with figure skating,

expressing "straighness" must be impossible for other skaters.

Yeah, MIKIKO-sensei too, she must be a drill sergeant.

And the angelic drill sergeant never says "impossible" but

somehow he has done it！

AMAZING.

なんかジャンプなしでも見れ切れるプログラムを作りたい。
単純な体の動作、、、で、どれだけ見せれるかみたいなことをまぁ、自分に課して、「いつか終わる夢」ってものを作ったんですけど、あれはジャンプとスピンがなくてスケーティングで見せる、身体の動きで見せるっていうのが趣旨で作りました。

I wanted to created a programme which has no jump but good enough to showcase.
Just with simple body moves, how far I can show, such challenge I set myself, and I created “A Fleeting Dream”; that one has no jump nor spin, but showcasing only with skating and body moves.

「阿修羅ちゃん」だったりしても、「阿修羅ちゃん」はどっちかというとダンスで見せるプログラムとして作って、それもジャンプもスピンも。
“Asura-chan” too, “Asura-chan” is the programme to express with dancing, not with jumps nor spins.
