一つの作品をアップするまでに滑走、編集それぞれどれぐらいの時間を要するのか。「Goliath（ゴリアテ）」と「アクアの旅路」は。
-How long does it take for you to upload a video, including skating and editing?
For example “Goliath” and “Aqua no Tabiji”?
「『アクアの旅路』は１日で撮影しきれたのですが、『Goliath』は３日間撮影していました。
練習や振り付けを除いて『アクアの旅路』は１週間、『Ｇｏｌｉａｔｈ』はこだわりすぎてショーも挟んで約１か月半はかかりました（笑い）」
For shooting, “Aqua no Tabiji” took me just one day, but “Goliath”, I spent three days.
Except practice or time for choreography, for “Aqua no Tabiji” took me one week, and “Goliath”, I was very particular about it, and I had the show, so it required me to spend a month and a half. (lol)
―編集に使っているソフトは独学なのか。
-Have you learnt how to use the software for editing you use by yourself?
「もともとMacOSで動画編集することが楽しくて、そのままの感覚がいいなと思って、独学のままFinal Cut Proを使っています」
I enjoy editing videos on MacOS, and I feel comfortable with it, so I use Final Cut Pro, learning it by myself.
―「アクアの旅路」の見せ場の一つ、３分頃のジャンプの３６０度の映像。あのアイデアはどう浮かび、どのように撮影したのか。
-Around 3-minute mark, one of the highlights of “Aqua no Tabiji; 360-degree footage of the jump.
How did you get the idea? How did you shoot the scene?
「そもそも、あの瞬間、時間を止めたいなと思って、ジャンプの形を試行錯誤したりしながら振りを作りました。『アクアの旅路』は『Goliath』と対照的に作っていて、エフェクトや編集を極力減らし、シンプルに見せながら、あのジャンプの瞬間だけ時間の流れを感じてもらいたいなと思っていました。
ジャンプする地点を中心に１０台のカメラを置いて、同じ瞬間をつなぎ合わせて、３Ｄのような感覚にできないかなと思い、作ってみました」
From the beginning I had an idea to show that scene as if time stands still, so I tried to choreograph thinking about it. I created “Aqua no Tabiji” in contrast to “Goliath”, so using as few effects and editing as possible to make it look simple. However, I wanted viewers to feel the passage of time only at that moment of jump.
I set 10 cameras around the point I would jump, and stitched together the same moment, so that I thought it would create a mood which viewer would feel as if they were watching 3D.
―「Goliath」の最後だが、カメラは無事だったか。
-About the last part of “Goliath”, was the camera safe?
「無事です（笑い）。あのカメラを飛ばすパターンも４つぐらいあって、何度も飛び散っていましたが、無事でした。アクションカメラってすごいですね！（笑い）」
“Yes, it was ok. (lol) I planned four patterns of clashing to the camera, and many time camera scattered around but they are safe. Action cameras are quite good! (lol)

―今後、氷上からどんなスケート、表現を届けたいか。
-In the future, what kind of skating or expressions do you want to deliver from the ice rink?
「ＹｏｕＴｕｂｅという場所は、僕にとってはプログラムの世界観をより具体的に、映像を使って分かりやすく形にできる場所だと思っています。
撮影の機材や技術、編集技術などもまだまだな部分がたくさんありますが、それでも自由に作りこめて、自由に僕の頭の中の“色”を出していけることが、楽しくもあり、怖くもあります。
ただ、新たな形として、これからも映像作品としてのプログラムも作っていきたいですし、その知識やイメージが、生身のスケートにも、ショーやアイスストーリーにも還元され、進化していけるように、頑張っていきます。
表現者としての知識や技術があまりにも足りなすぎることを実感しているので、勉強も年齢も重ねて、スケートとしての表現を、どんな形でもどんな可能性でも、進化させていきたいです」
I think YouTube is a place where I can express worlds of my programmes in a more concrete and easy-to-understand way while using videos.
There are still lots things I need to work on in terms of shooting equipment, techniques and editing techniques, however, it’s both fun and scary to be able to freely create what I want to and freely bring out the “colours” in my mind.
I would like to continue to create video works as a new form of programmes, and I will do my best to develop myself to utilise such knowledge or images for my skating, shows as well as my ice story.
I realised that my knowledge and skills as an artist are too insufficient, and I’d like to evolve my skating expression in any form and with any possibilities while keep studying and being matured.
