「お客さまが日常を忘れ、いかにその世界に没入できるかを考えており、そのために、間の取り方を大事にしています」
Q: MIKIKO-san, what is the most important thing when you create shows or your works.
I value how audience would forget about their daily lives and immerse themselves into the a world (we create), for it, I take great care in how we arrange the timing (of each scene).
―表現者・羽生結弦との仕事、作品作りはＭＩＫＩＫＯさんにとって、どのような意味が？
「羽生くんはあえて抽象的な表現を用いることが多いので、想像力や表現力を試されるという意味でもとても刺激的です。表現者としてあるべき姿を再確認できました」
Q: What does working with Hanyu Yuzuru, the performer, mean to you, MIKIKO-san?
Hanyu-kun often uses abstract expressions, so it’s very stimulating I feel as if I’m tested my imagination and expressiveness. I was able to reaffirm who we should be as artists.”
―２人の信頼関係に強さ、深さを感じる。ＭＩＫＩＫＯさんから見て、２人に共通することは？
「なかなか妥協しないところでしょうか？ それと、それぞれが使う抽象的な言葉の意味をお互い理解できる気がします」
Q: We feel that you two guys have strong and deep relationship. From your point of view, what do you two guy have in common?
Probably, we both hardly compromise. And I think I can understand the meaning of his abstract words as he thinks.
―「ＩＣＥ ＳＴＯＲＹ」は「ＧＩＦＴ」から「ＲＥ＿ＰＲＡＹ」へ、どのような進化を？
「『ＧＩＦＴ』よりさらに羽生くんから紡ぎ出される言葉たちが深くなっていると思います。『ＩＣＥ ＳＴＯＲＹ』と名づけている意味が、より理解できると思います」
Q: What kind of evolution are you making from GIFT to RE_PRAY?
I think the words Hanyu-kun has woven are even deeper than those in GIFT. And I think you would understand why it is named “ICE STORY”.
―スケーター初の単独ツアー。どんなツアーにしたい？
「ツアーは会場のつくりや、その日のお客さまの雰囲気で全く違う作品に見えるのが面白いところだと思うので、その変化と今回のストーリーがリンクして見えてくるといいなと思っています」
Q: What kind of tour are you aiming at for the fist ever skater’s solo tour?
I think what tis the interesting about a tour is depending on the venue and the atmosphere according to audience the show would be looked completely different, so I hope we can see the combination between the story and those changes.
