―史上初のスケーターによる東京ドーム公演になる。最初に「ＧＩＦＴ」演出の話が届いた時、率直にどのような気持ちに？
「同じ身体表現とはいえ、未知なる世界だったので正直不安はありましたが、それよりも未だ経験したことのない挑戦をご一緒できる興味の方が大きかったです」
Q: It’ll be the first ever Tokyo Dome performance by a skater. When you receive the offer to produce “GIFT”, how did you feel about it?
“Although it’s physical expression which is the same as I concern usually, honestly talking it (skating performance) is totally news world for me, so I was a bit worried, however I’m more interested in being able to challenge with him something never experienced before.”
―これまでも数々のライブ、クリエーターとのコラボレーションを手がけてきたが、スケートのショーの演出の魅力とは。
「氷上でしか表現できないスピード感や美しさがあると思います」
Q: So far you collaborated with creators for many live performances, but what did attract you when you direct the ice show?
“I think it has a special sense of speed and beauty which can be expressed only on ice.”
―演出の準備、計画段階で、ミュージシャンのドーム公演と異なることは？
「普通のライブとは構成が全く違うので、そこが一番見どころでもありチャレンジでもあります」
Q: What was the different about the preparation and planning compared to dome shows by musicians?
“The composition is completely different from music live shows, it would be the most interesting and challenging part.”
―羽生さんのプロ転向後初のアイスショー「プロローグ」では、「春よ、来い」「いつか終わる夢」の２つの演目を担当。プロジェクションマッピングによる演出が印象的だった。「いつか終わる夢」での「感情」「真っ暗」「灯る」「応援」「希望」「怖い」「夢」「独り」「想い」「水面」といった文字が氷上を流れる演出は、どのようなアイデアから生まれた？
「羽生君からいただいたこの曲に対するイメージの文章が素晴らしかったので、その言葉のかけらたちをファンの方へも届けたいと思いました」
Q: You also worked for two programmes, “Haru yo, Koi” and “A Fleeting Dream“ in “Prologue”, Hanyu-san’s first professional ice show. The performances using projection mapping was impressive. There was a scene some letters were projected on the ice in “A Fleeting Dream”, what made you produce the scene?
“Hanyu-kun told me about his image of the music, it was wonderful. I wanted to deliver parts of his words to his fans.”
―「プロローグ」を羽生さんと作り上げていく過程で、印象に残っていることは？
「楽曲に込めた思いを丁寧に文章で送ってくれたことが一番印象的でした。その文章を読んで、なぜ彼が表現者として世界を魅了できているのかが理解できた気がしました」
Q: While creating “Prologue” with Hanyu-san, what is the most impressive thing for you?
“The most impressive thing is he wrote me his thought putting into the music. Reading it, I felt I was able to understand why he can enchant people all over the world as an artist.”
―ＭＩＫＩＫＯさんが思う羽生結弦の表現者としての魅力とは。
「テクニックをひけらかさず、それがあることが大前提で、音楽やそのプログラムに込められた思いを表現できていることが素晴らしいと思います」
Q: What is attractiveness of Hanyu Yuzuru as an artist for you, MIKIKO-san?
“I think it is great that he doesn’t show off his techniques but having quality techniques is his principle and he can express his thoughts putting into music or programmes using them.”
―「ＧＩＦＴ」開催発表の際に、ＭＩＫＩＫＯさんから「まだ見ぬ景色を求め挑戦し続ける羽生君の姿に背中を押され、東京ドーム単独公演という新たな挑戦にお供させてもらうことを決めました」とのコメントがあった。どんなショーに、どんな一夜にしたい？
「プロになった覚悟と、これから進む道を照らす明るい光を感じさせる様な一夜にしたいです」
Q; You mentioned that “Impressed by Hanyu-kun who endlessly pursuing an unseen world, I decided to work with him with his solo Tokyo Dome show”, what kind of show, what kind of night do you want to create?
“I want to make it as a night in which people can feel his determination to be professional and the bright light which illuminates his future path.”
技術があることが大前提！そうなのよね、ごまかしなんか一切ない、本物の技術があるからこそのあの感動をもたらす美しい時間を作ることができる。そのために、スポットライトの当たらない孤独の時間は鬼となる。
その生きざまもまた感動の美しさ！！
Yes, having quality techniques is Yuzu’s principle, for it he has been working so hard all by himself, that why he can create such a heavenly beautiful performances to impress people at the same time, the way he face to his skating and performances also deeply impress us.
