Final Time Travellerに心奪われつつ、“GIFT”はなんか不思議が溢れているって思っているの。

もともとこのプログラムが生まれた背景には震災というものがあったことでしょう。今回動画を投稿するにあたっても、投稿予告を前日の「午後5時46分」に行なったこと、公開を告知する投稿では時計の絵文字「117」を表現したことは、1995年1月17日午前5時46分に起きたとされる阪神淡路大震災を指すものでしょうし、そこへの祈りが込められているのでしょう。

ただ、それだけではない意味合いが2023年の「The Final Time Traveler」にはあるのかなと思います。震災への祈り、それを主とするのであれば3月に予定している「notte stellata」で演じることがより似つかわしく思われますし、自身の半生とこれからを表現したICE STORYであるところの「GIFT」の中核とするのは唐突に思われます。「for『GIFT』」とあえて付け加えたことを含めて、2023年の「The Final Time Traveler」は以前のそれとはまた違う新しい意味合いを備えているのでしょう。ライフテーマであるところの震災への祈りと、自身の半生とこれからと、その両方を強く表現できるプログラムとして「『The Final Time Traveler』for『GIFT』」があるのかなと思うのです。

However, I also think there may be more meaning for “the Final Time Traveller” 2023. If the main theme is the prayer for disasters, then it would be much better to combine into “notte sttellata” to be held in March, and not directly related to ICE STORY “GIFT” which would be expressed his life both till today and in the future. The video title has “for “GIFT”, it may mean that there would be a new concept in it. I personally think the “the Final Time Traveller” for “GIFT” would be a programme which strongly express both his life theme of praying for disaster victims and his past and future life.

そうなのよね、GIFTは結弦君の物語の本編第一章であって、そして2週間後には震災追悼のnotte stellata、だから、なんかやっぱり震災をテーマにというわけではなさそうって気はするんだけど・・・でも、うううう？？？2023 Time Travellerは、いったいどういう存在なんだろうって、やっぱりこんがらがってくるサラの単純な思考回路。

As the article mentioned, although the programme is related to thinking about 1995 disaster, however, GIFT would be the fist part of Yuzu’s main story and also two weeks later, Yuzu will be in “notte stellate” where Yuzu will let us recall memories of the Disaster.

When what Yuzu would like to express us with “Time Traveller 2023”?

『タイムトラベラーズ』や『ファイナルファンタジーX』の物語は、選ばなかったほうの世界にも強く思いを残している点で共通している物語です。消したくはない、その世界でずっと生きていたい気持ちもある、けれど最後は自分を捨ててあるべき世界を選ぶ主人公たちの決断。思いを残しながら、それでも前に進んでいく、そんな切ない二者択一の物語。それは一方を「闇」とするには切な過ぎるのです。単純に悪い世界を捨てて良い世界を選んだわけではなく、だからこそ主人公たちの決断は尊いものでもあるのです。自分自身で、自分の物語を選んだ、そういう意味で。そしてそれは、プロとなった羽生氏の物語にも通ずるものだと僕は思うのです。

The stories of “Time Travellers” and “Final Fantasy X” have the common idea that there were worlds, the world selected by story characters in the stories and the other which was not chosen. The decision of the characters, while even they didn’t want to vanish a world but want to stay in in, but they had to move forward while leaving their desires, it was a tough and sad selection. So you can’t call the world abandoned as “darkness”. They didn’t abandon that world because it was a bad world, so the decision of the characters is precious. By themselves, they selected their story, in that sense. And now I feel this story would be connected to the story of Mr. Hanyu.

プロローグからGIFTはやはりつながっている。
