プロのアスリートとしてスケートを続けていくことを決意いたしました。
僕が追い求めている理想の形のフィギュアスケートを更に追い求めたいなって思っています。
I decided to continue skating as a professional athlete.
I’d like to further more pursue my ideal Figure Skating which I have pursued.
男子シングル日本初のオリンピック金メダル。
そして連覇。
更に、男子史上初の六冠を達成。
Winning the first Olympic gold medal in Men’s single in Japan.
Then the consecutive Olympic gold.
Furthermore, achieving the six crowns (Super Slam) for the first time in Men’s single history.
プロへの転向を表明した後に語った大会への特別な思い。
His special thought toward NHK Trophy, he told us after turning professional.
僕自身が初めてシニアの舞台に上がった場所でもあって、300点を超えた場所でもあって、なんか、悔しい思いをした場所でもあって、色んなシーズンの想いが詰まってる試合だなとは思います。
自分のなかで紆余曲折をNHK杯と共に過ごしたなって思ってます。
MHK杯自体をすべて見ることで、僕の人生自体を見ているような、そういう色んな辛い思い出とか、いい思い出とか。
皆さんの人生の中でも意味を付けられるような、そんな瞬間に自分の演技がなっていたらいいなって思います。
For myself, it was my fist senior stage, also a stage I achieved over 300 points, also many bitter memories too, so I think NHK Trophy contains various thought of mine in each season.
I feel together with NHK Trophy, I had many ups and downs.
Looking back NHK Trophy, I also feel I’m looking back my own life, so many bitters and sweets of memories.
I hope my performances would bring a meaning in people’s life too.

2010年のNHK杯は、僕自身初めて4回転に挑むということもあって、すごく緊張していたんですけど、今の自分から見ても本当にいい出来だったなって思えるぐらいの4回転ジャンプを跳べたりとか、ただ興奮しすぎて鼻血が止まらなかったりとか、そういった若かったなぁて思い出もちょっとありますね。
In 2010 NHK, since I tried my first quad jump, I was very much tensed, but looking at the jump, even now I thing it was a fabulous jump I jumped. However, because I was so excited, I had hard time to stop my nosebleed, I was yet so young.
2015年は本当に、SEIMEIで300点を超えたことですし、4回転を2本というさらに攻めた構成にすることによってはじめてノーミスができたりとか、自分の成績にとっても大きな変換点だったなっていうふうに思っています。
In 2015, with SEIMEI, I achieved over 300 points. The programme component was aggressive with 2 quad-jumps, and for my first time I was able to perform perfectly. So it was a great turning point for my career, I think.
今年7月には、競技会からの引退を表明しました。今後はプロのスケーターとして自分の理想を追い求めます。
羽生結弦らしく、全力でスケートをやっていきますし、全力でこれからも努力を続け、全力で結果を求めていきたいなって思っています。
In July, he left the competitions. Now he’s pursuing his ideal skating as a pro-skater.

15歳でのシニアデビューからNHK杯と共に歩み、世界の頂点へと駆け上がった羽生結弦。
