4Aを跳ぶんじゃなく美しい4Aをプログラムの一部に。 Yuzu's 4A

美しさが・・・だだ漏れ～～！！

so beautiful. . .！！

先日から話題にしていいかどうか（有料TVだったから）

ずっと悩んでいたことなんだけど。
ちょっとだけ、やっぱり話題にさせて。
結弦君が「羽生結弦」の4Aの説明をした時、
地上波ではカットされた部分。
Since it was broadcasted on a pay-TV, a bit worry to talk about it though.
A few days ago, TV asahi’s Yuzu special was again broadcasted adding some parts which were not shown before.
In it, there was a part where Yuzu and Oda talked about Yuzu’s 4A air trace.

結弦君が自分のジャンプの空中軌跡がなだらかな線を描いていることを言っていて。
結弦君が「こういう形」と言っていることを線に表したけど、
点線が「こうじゃない」形、
で、結弦君の4Aの「形」は、なだらかな放物線。
要するに飛距離を出すことを特化させている。
Yuzu explained that his 4A air-trace draw a gentle parabola.
The dotted line is a normal jump air-trace, and the golden line is Yuzu’s trace.

So, it has much longer distance.

で、織田君が
「飛距離があるということは、回転軸を作るのがすごく難しくなってくる。(中略)遠くにきれいに美しく跳ぼうと思えば思うほど、足が入ってくるところ、回転軸を作るところで、身体が後ろ方向に引っ張られてくる。」
他の跳び方でも結弦君は跳べるだろうが、この形にこだわるところもきっと結弦君のこだわりと、続けてくれている。
Then Oda added: “When the distance is longer, then to keep an axis tight is harder. (…) when you jump longer distance, then hard to keep the position beautiful since the axis would be pulled backward.”
He also mentioned that Yuzu may try in a different way to jump, but since Yuzu wants to jump it beautifully so that he didn’t change the way.

上にという縦方向の運動の中で回転するのは、横方向の抵抗が少ないけど、飛距離を出すということは、横方向の抵抗がより強く影響してきて、回転がぶれるということだと・・・思う。
そこには、やっぱり「羽生結弦のスケート」へのこだわりがあるんだなって思いながら聞いていたの。
ただ跳ぶんじゃない、跳ぶんならきれいに、美しく。
軸がぶれるリスクと戦いながら、究極の「美」に挑んでいるジャンプだということを織田君が説明してくれていた。
It’s a bit confusing, however, when you just jump higher, then keeping an axis is rather easier, however, trying to jump longer, then horizontal resistance becomes stronger, then easy to lose the axis line.
Even though there’s such a risk, but Yuzu wants to jump it beautifully.

それと、もう1つの「美」は、プログラム全体としての「美」。
織田君が話し出す前に戻ると、この空中の形を作っているから「ランディングのきれいさ」「降りた後のスピードがよかったり」「姿勢がよかったり」が可能になってくると、

結弦君が言っているのね。
ストンと降りれば、一度そこで流れが止まるけど、す～っと滑らかな曲線で降りると、そのまま氷上の流れに繋がる・・・という意味だと思う。
要するに、飛距離を出して回転の時間を作るとともに、ただ跳ぶんじゃなく、降りた後もジャンプがスケート一部であり続ける、次の動きにそのまま流れていくことが可能にというのが

「羽生結弦」のジャンプ。

結弦君は、「4Aを跳ぶ」ことに挑戦しているのではなく、

「4Aをプログラムの一部に入れる」という挑戦をしている。

それも、「美の追求」をしつつ！
Also, before Oda mentioned it, Yuzu also said, with his air-trace, he can “land beautiful”, “keep good speed even after the jump” and “make beautiful landing position.”
When making a shape parabola, then the move would easily stop with the landing, but with a gentle parabola, it would immediately shift to the next move smoothly.
So the long distance jump is not only for making time to rotate, but it’s also for the beautiful landing and with the beautiful landing, Yuzu’s 4A would be perfectly a part of the programme.
Although, there’s a risk but for his goal of “landing 4A as a part of a programme”, while pusuing "BEAUTY", Yuzu took the much difficult way to jump.
