伊豆には、多くの文豪が訪れているけど、夏目漱石も１９１０年に、病気療養で２か月ほど修禅寺の旅館に滞在したそうで、ここに移築されている古い建物は、その旅館の二階部分とのこと。
Many distinguished novelists visit Izu, and one of them, Natsume Soseki, who wrote "I am a cat", "Kokoro" "Bochan" and etc., also visited Shuzenji (the area Nijino Sata locates). He stayed in Shuzenji for about two months, from August to October in 1910. The old building here was the room in the second floor of the inn Soseki stayied.
