スイセンと言えば、「ナルシスト」って連想しない？
Daffodils, many immedeatelly think about "narcissism".
でさ、よく、芸術家とか表現者にナルシストが多いとかって、言われるし、成程って思えちゃうこともあるけど。
And often, it says that artists or performers tend to be "narcissist", and we easily also tend to think so though. . .
なんかね、よくよく考えたら、ナルシストって、単に自分の能力に自信を持っているってだけじゃなく、そこに入り込んで、周りを一切遮断し、自分の世界だけなんだよね。
となると、「表現」と完全に相反する状態なわけよね。
だって、表現には、その表現を観る側がいて、遮断された社会じゃないもの。
However, "narsissists" are not only having confidence in their abilities, but, making his/her own world and keep him/herself in it, being isolated from the outer world.
But being isolated and performing have contrary natures.
Since, for performing, there're people who appriciate "performance", it's not an isolated world.
結弦君をナルシストなんて呼ぶ、怪しげな人もいた（いる？）けど、結弦君のスケートは、いや、言葉も動作もね、周りを感動させたり、周りに幸せをもたらすわけじゃない。
ナルシストなんて、ありえないね！
There were (are?) some calling Yuzu as a "narcissist" but Yuzu's skating, well not only skating but also his comments and beheviour, give us deep impressions, or make us happy.
見る側に何かを伝えたいって気持ちが、結弦君には常にあるわけだから、
自己満足のための演技じゃないってことだもの。
Yuzu intends to deliver something to people appriciating his skating.
It means his performance is not at all for his self-satisfaction.
結弦君は、自分の世界に入り込んでいるように見えることがあっても、常に周りとコミュニケーションをとっている。実際の会話とかじゃなくてもね、ファンの気持ちが理解できているだろうし、何より、自分のスケートを楽しんでほしい、何かを感じて欲しいって思う気持ちが、ある種、周囲とのコミュニケーションなんだろうなって思うのよね。
Although, Yuzu sometimes looks like he's being his own world, but he must be communicating with others always, many of his communications are not like ordinary communications such as talking each other, but somehow, he knows what we expect him, and he always wish us to enjoy his skating or feel something from his skating, this must be a kind of "communication".
だから、きっと本当に優れた表現者って、ナルシストどころか、特殊なコミュニケーションに長けた人なんだろうな・・・
お花とは全く違う話題になっちゃったけど、ふと、「ナルシスト」から、そんなこと思ったので・・・
So, probably a good performer is never a "narcissist" but he/she must be very good at having special communications.
